2020-2021 Tuition & Fee Schedule

SBCA tuition is among the most affordable for private schools in Baldwin County. Need-based financial aid is also available.

MONTHLY TUITION INSTALLMENTS

Families are given the option to pay tuition in monthly installments. If you choose to pay monthly installments, 10 tuition payments will be automatically deducted through the FACTS program.  There is a yearly fee to use this program for payments.  The fee is $100 for the first student and $20 for each additional student on the family account.

SIBLING DISCOUNT

A tuition discount of $100 will be applied for each additional sibling.

FINANCIAL AID

The Financial Aid Process

South Baldwin Christian Academy offers need-based tuition assistance to qualifying families. Financial Aid funding is available for the upcoming school year based on each student's individual and family income for the past two years.

Financial Aid will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Incomplete applications will NOT be considered. If awarded financial aid, all fees must be paid for at registration before the funds can be applied to your balance.

Partial Tuition Funding

SBCA will only cover up to half of a student's tuition depending on their grade level and amount.

Application Timeline

Application Opens: March 1st

Application Due: June 15th

Award Decision: Applications will be evaluated as they are received and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Kindergarten – 12th-grade student registered to be enrolled at South Baldwin Christian Academy.
  • Family must be in good financial standing with SBCA.
  • Students should not have any write-ups or suspensions for the year prior to applying.
  • Students should be in academic good standing.
  • If the student(s) attended SBCA the year prior to applying, ALL 10 parent-volunteer hours must be completed and signed off by SBCA staff.
  • Students must not exceed the allotted school days with tardies or days missed.
  • Must submit an application for admission on the SBCA website.
  • Must apply through the FACTS Management system and pay the application fee prior to June 15th. This amount will NOT be reimbursed if the family is not approved or later decides to attend SBCA. 

KAREN PURCELL SCHOLARSHIP

For Single Parents

The Karen Purcell Scholarship provides financial support and encouragement to single parents of students attending South Baldwin Christian Academy.

This scholarship applies to the upcoming school year and is based on one student’s tuition. It will cover no more than half of the current year's tuition, depending on the student's grade level and tuition amount.

Late submissions will NOT be considered. If awarded this scholarship, all fees must be paid for at registration before the funds can be applied to your balance. The scholarship committee reserves the right to divide and award the scholarship to multiple applicants.

Families must apply for Financial Aid prior to receiving this scholarship award. Past scholarship recipients may re-apply for the upcoming year but must submit a new, original essay. Resubmissions will be immediately disqualified.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet all of the qualifications to be eligible to receive this scholarship.

  • Have a Kindergarten – 12th-grade student registered to be enrolled at South Baldwin Christian Academy.
  • Must meet the definition of a “single-parent” (all 3 categories):
    1. Marital Status: Single, never married, widowed, divorced or legally separated.
    2. Parenting Status: The custodial parent or guardian with 50% or more physical custody.
    3. Living Status: You are the only adult in the home with child(ren) OR Live with your parents/relatives OR Live with a roommate who is not your partner/significant other or a co-parent.
  • Family must be in good financial standing with SBCA.
  • Students should not have any write-ups or suspensions for the year prior to applying.
  • Student must be in academic good standing.
  • If student attended SBCA the year prior to applying, ALL 10 parent-volunteer hours must be completed and signed off by SBCA staff.
  • Student must not exceed the allotted school days with tardies or days missed.
  • Registration fee for the scholarship award school year must be paid prior to June 15.

Parent Essay

Each applicant must complete a short essay to ensure a wholistic application review.

  • All applicants must complete a five-paragraph essay discussing "why is a Christian education important for your family?"
  • The essay is due at the time of application submission.
