Thanks so much to everyone who attended this year’s Meet the Teacher Night event! For some, this was the first time they were able to see the new courtyard we completed this summer. The new space has been such a great place for the kids to spend time studying, enjoying recess, and eating their lunch.v
SBCA introduced five new teachers and staff this year: Kris Deese (Dean of Spiritual Formation), Sarah Mahan (High School Science Teacher), Madelynn Coleman (Spanish & High School Bible Teacher), Myra Delano (1st Grade Teacher), and Austin Webb (IT Coordinator).
“With all of the changes this year has brought, it was so nice to have the chance to meet all of our new students IN person.” ~ Jenny Erikson (Middle School Math & Science Teacher)
“I was able to meet all of my students in person – such a great turnout! They found their seats and were ready to start learning right then and there. They just couldn’t wait to be back with their friends and ready to learn.” ~ Lauren Penton (Kindergarten Teacher)
“The best part, besides seeing my teacher, Ms. Abby, was finally seeing all of my friends again and playing tag in the new courtyard. I was shocked to see the awesome new courtyard. It looks sooooo good!” ~ Elliott Bills (3rd Grade Student)
“Elliott was the first student I saw at Meet the Teacher Night and it truly got me more excited to see the kids after a long summer and have the honor of teaching this sweet group again.” Abby Engerson (3rd Grade Teacher)
