The Parent-Teacher Fellowship (PTF) is excited to share that a decision has been made on which company we’ll be using to build the new SBCA playground. We’re calling this project: Operation New Playground.
The new playground will include a special area for our little ones and another for our bigger elementary school kiddos. The total cost of the project is $54,000 and we are hoping to break ground THIS Summer, but we need YOUR help. Whether your family/company would like to make a donation or you would like to help the PTF with boots on the ground efforts to request donations, we would love to make this dream come true.
We have already been raising money since 2019 but our efforts really started to break ground as of THIS year. We have several families who have anonymously made some generous donations and others who have reached out to the community and asked for help as well.
A very special thank you to our donors:
- The Boyd Family
- The Mayes Family
- Publix Super Markets Charities
- Sun South, LLC – John Deere in Foley, AL
- Sea Smiles Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics
- QRC Infusion Pharmacy
- EGM, LLC – Chemical & Process Equipment
SBCA has also hosted several fundraisers over the year that have helped aid in this project. SBCA T-shirt sales this year went straight to the playground project as well as the proceeds from our monthly Parents Night Out, Spirit Night’s at Zaxby’s and Rita’s. As of April 1st, we have saved $15,181.90.
We would love for you to help us create an amazing place for our kiddos to enjoy. If you’d like to get involved, we encourage you to attend our monthly PTF meetings, which are held on the last Thursday of each month from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. April’s PTF meeting will include a special speaker, spaghetti dinner, and auction.
If you would like to donate, forms can be found in the office or you can reach out to our Outreach Manager, Andie Bills at 251.968.2044 or AndieBills@SouthBaldwinCA.net.
