February was an eventful month for SBCA! The first of our parent committee meetings were held for events, after-school enrichment programs and campus pride. These meetings produced great results for continuing to move our school forward. The following information was discussed during these meetings:
- Events Committee: Our first Daddy Daughter Dance was successfully planned and hosted thanks to the hard work of our committee members and other dedicated volunteers. I am grateful for all of the time and talent they contributed to make this such a special night for our families!
- After-School Enrichment Committee: Lots of valuable ideas were shared to help further develop our after-school enrichment programs. The committee identified a need to create more after-school enrichment program opportunities for older students. Volleyball will be offered in addition to all of our current after-school enrichment programs for the next 8-week session scheduled to begin the week of March 25th.
- Campus Pride Committee: This committee is doing a great job reviewing the current playground appearance and equipment. Suggestions were offered for landscaping improvements, equipment repairs and upgrades, and fundraising goals and strategies to support these efforts. The process of developing a budget for this project is in progress.
We also hosted and Admissions Open House event for families who might be interested in joining SBCA. Thank you to all of the volunteers who provided tours and staffed informational tables for this event. Each February we open enrollment for the upcoming school year and enjoy meeting the many new families who are excited about enrolling their children in our school. This year’s enrollment season is off to a busy start. We have averaged four tours per week for the month of February and have already welcomed 24 new students to our school. We currently have three classes that are full with a waiting list and many more that are filling up quickly. If you know of someone who is interested in finding out more about what our school has to offer, please invite them to visit our campus for a tour.
As always, thank you for the opportunity you give us each day to partner with you in the educational and spiritual development of your children. Our staff knows and loves each student and we are grateful for the role our parents play in supporting the mission of SBCA – to educate students with excellence, in a safe and caring environment, while helping them reach their full potential and discover the plans that God has for their lives.
