This summer, while South Baldwin Christian Academy (SBCA) has made numerous strides as a school, our emphasis on spiritual formation continues to expand. We seek to provide as many opportunities as possible for our students to grow and discover God’s plan for their lives. Recently, we shared with you how we are cultivating partnerships with local churches and youth pastors.
Now, I am excited to announce that SBCA has been certified as an official partner with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
FCA’s mission is “To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.” This mission statement compliments the vision and emphasis of our Chapel program so well. We have made it a point to remind our students time and time again that, although similar, Chapel at SBCA cannot take the place of being connected to a local church. (If your family is not connected to a local church, please allow us to help you with that.)
Soon, we will be offering a weekly “FCA Huddle” on campus for our athletes and coaches to get together for a time of encouragement, inspiration, and — most importantly — prayer. This is a wonderful opportunity for our school and we’re convinced that it’s the nexus of things to come.
Thank you so much for all your love and support as we work together to provide a healthy learning community for our students to grow both spiritually and academically! Great things are happening and we are definitely looking forward to an amazing school year!
Love & blessings!
