November was a busy month for us as students participated in numerous volunteer and ministry opportunities.
As you already know, we sent home pre-printed shoeboxes, instructions, and packing ideas to each of our students for our Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Drive. I am overjoyed to announce that SBCA families packed 118 shoeboxes for children in need around the world! Thank you to all of our students, parents, and staff who helped make this ministry opportunity a huge success.
We also organized two off-campus ministry opportunities for our students to participate in. The High School Drama Class assisted me in delivering all of our shoeboxes to the drop-off location. Our JV and Varsity Boys Basketball teams and mascots helped The Island Church with their Thanksgiving food drive by unloading pallets of food and water, assembling care packages of food for local families, and cleaning up the facility.
At SBCA, our goal is to cultivate within our students’ hearts love for God and our neighbors through opportunities for community service.
We anticipate finding more ways to share God’s love through ministry and service in the future.
God is so good, and we are blessed to be a blessing!
